KARTET-2015 : Online Application for Karnataka State Teachers Eligibility Test

Department of Public Instruction (Primary and Secondary Education), Government of Karnataka invites online applications for the Teachers Eligibility Test – 2015 (KARTET-2015). Eligible candidates are suggested to go through with the detailed notification before applying to the KARTET-2015.

As per the Government order, it is compulsory that the candidates those who seeking the teaching jobs for 1st standard to 8th standard in Government Schools/ Government Aided Schools/ Unaided Schools within Karnataka State. It also applies to the teachers presently working in the Government Schools/ Government Aided Schools/ Unaided Schools within Karnataka State but not permanent approval from the government.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. For 1st Standard to 5th Standard (Eligible for Paper-1 in KARTET)
   1. Senior Secondary / II PUC / Equivalent Courses Passed with at least of 50% marks (SC/ST/Cat-1/PwD candidates 45% marks)  AND
   2. Two Years Diploma in Education (D. Ed.) OR
      1. Two Years Diploma in Special Education OR
      2. Four Years Degree in Elementary Education (B.El. Ed)
2. For 6th Standard to 8th Standard (Eligible for Paper-2 in KARTET)
   1. Senior Secondary / II PUC / Equivalent Courses Passed with at least of 50% marks (SC/ST/Cat-1/PwD candidates 45% marks)  AND
   2. Four Years BA/BSc. Ed or B.A. Ed/ BSc. Ed. Degree OR
      1. Four Years Degree in Elementary Education (B.El. Ed) OR
      2. Degree and Two Years Diploma in Education (D. Ed) OR
      3. Degree with at least 50% Marks (SC/ST/Cat-1/PwD candidates 45% marks) and One Year Degree in Education (B. Ed) OR
      4. Degree with at least 50% Marks (SC/ST/Cat-1/PwD candidates 45% marks) and One Year Degree [B. Ed (Special Education)]
3. For 1st Standard to 8th Standard (Eligible for Paper-1 and Paper-2 in KARTET)
   1. Senior Secondary / II PUC / Equivalent Courses Passed with at least of 50% marks (SC/ST/Cat-1/PwD candidates 45% marks)  AND
   2. Four Years Degree in Elementary Education (B.El. Ed)

NOTE: Students studying in Final Year/ Semester of D.Ed./B.Ed may also eligible for apply to the TET Examinations.
