KPTCL Junior Lineman and Junior Station Attendant Recruitment – 2016-17
Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) has invited online applications for the Junior Station Attendant (JSA) in KPTCL and Junior Line Man (JLM) posts in KPTCL, BESCOM, CESCOM and HESCOM.

- Junior Lineman in KPTCL- 336+64 (H-K Region) Posts
- Bangalore Power Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) : 53+2550 Posts
- Junior Line Man in BESCOM (Backlog) – 48+5 (H-K) Posts
- Junior Line Man in BESCOM – 2523+27 (H-K Region) Posts
- Hubballi Power Supply Company Limited (HESCOM) : 45+1405 Posts
- Junior Line Man in HESCOM (Backlog) – 45 Posts
- Junior Line Man in HESCOM – 1405 Posts
- Chamundeshwari Power Supply Company Limited, Mysore (CESCOM) : 43+1705 Posts
- Junior Line Man (Backlog) – 43 Posts
- Junior Line Man – 1705 Posts
Eligibility Qualification:
- SSLC/ 10th Standard Pass from Karnataka State
- Knowledge of Reading & Writing in Kannada Language
- Satisfactory Eye-sight is required.
- Satisfactory physical fitness is required.
AGE LIMITS:
- Minimum Age to apply to above posts is should be 18 years
- Maximum Ages are:
- General Category : 35 Years
- Cat-2A, 2B, 3A & 3B : 38 Years
- SC, ST & Cat-1 : 40 Years
Selection Procedure:
- Candidates must pass/ clear the endurance below tests:
- 100 mtr race (running) : 14 seconds
- Skipping : 50 time in one minute
- Shot put (12 pounds) : 8 mtr throw (3 chances)
- Climbing Electric pole : 8 mtr high (compulsory)
- 800 mtr race : 3 minutes
- Note: Candidates must clear Climbing Electric pole and ANY TWO tests above to get eligibility.

- GM, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B : Rs.200
- SC/ST : Rs.100
